For over €700, we expected more from our two-week stay. Mistakes happen, but most of what went wrong seemed avoidable. The hotel is still being developed, so you have to look past some issues. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful, and the Wi-Fi and TV connection worked well. We started in a small standard room for two. When the TV didn’t work, we appreciated being moved to a better room. On departure day, we overheard two men being upgraded to rooms with kitchens without any trouble. We would have liked that too, since we wanted to avoid eating out every day, so it felt unfair. The storm left us without a warm shower for three days. There was an emergency shower, but everyone used it and it wasn’t cleaned regularly, which didn’t feel hygienic. Housekeeping was inconsistent as well. If we got up later, sometimes the room wasn’t cleaned, and we were nearly out of toilet paper or clean towels. The bedsheets were usually fine, and cleaning was generally hygienic, but basic supplies should be reliable. New tea bags weren’t always left either. Our fridge was small, which meant frequent shopping during a two-week visit. The mattresses were very firm, which suited my husband’s back problems but was uncomfortable for the rest of us. The pillows were very soft, but not always comfortable for the neck. The main lift often had problems, so we had to use the back lift. The front lift buttons were unreliable. The hallway light outside our room stayed on all night. It wasn’t disruptive, but we could see it under the door. The street got very noisy at night, with lots of people shouting, sometimes quite extremely. With the balcony door shut, it was manageable, but it’s something to know if you choose a hotel on the street.

The rooms are a good size, with everything needed for a comfortable stay, and the bathroom is large and modern. We may have been the first guests in our room. The TV hadn’t been tuned, the air-conditioning remote had no battery, and there was no tea or coffee. I expect those things will be sorted once the hotel is fully open. It’s still being built and should be finished by the end of October. It could be a very nice hotel when that’s done, and I’d definitely give it another try.

We arrived on New Years eve to find there had been no hot water for over a week. In the end, we had to find somewhere else to stay and move on the 2nd Jan. We’re still waiting for our refund, and there was no sign of a manager at the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff were terrific, and the room and bathroom both had plenty of space. There’s inexpensive underground parking in the building behind. I appreciated the non-slip floor in the walk-in shower, the towel hooks beside it, working power sockets by the bed, and proper hangers. The smart TV worked, and the air conditioning was great and could heat too. Highly recommend.
