Hotel La Cantuena - Adults Only

The free parking behind the hotel was very convenient for driving, and Warner Bros Park is an easy drive away. We stayed four nights. The hotel is a reasonable budget base if you have a car and mainly need somewhere to sleep after a day out, but for a longer stay, a family trip, or more comfort, you may want to look elsewhere. Our room felt outdated, the furniture and decor were old, and the beds weren’t very comfortable. The air conditioning didn’t work during our stay, and the high temperatures made nights uncomfortable. Opening the window wasn’t much of an option with the constant noise from the busy motorway beside the hotel, even at night. Public transport is awkward. The nearest metro station is too far to walk to. Madrid’s zero-emission zones also make driving into the city center difficult unless your car is properly certified. We found it easier to drive to Getafe Sector 3 station, where there’s plenty of free parking right outside, then take the train into central Madrid. A €10 "Bono Recurrente" ticket gives you unlimited travel, and you get your money back if you make more than 16 journeys. There’s an adult entertainment club connected to the building. It may not suit everyone, though it was discreet and didn’t bother us. The hotel’s 24-hour cafeteria also sounded handy for getting a drink or snack as a family in the afternoon, but it was mostly used by truck drivers and workers taking breaks, so it didn’t feel family-friendly and we didn’t use it.
