The house was filthy, with spiders in the corners, uncomfortable beds and sheets that looked about 20 years old. The bathtub had grimy curtains, the toilet was almost unusable, and they hadn't even left toilet paper. There wasn't a cooking knife, there was no oven, and the microwave barely worked. This was an old, neglected house missing basic amenities, whatever they mean by calling it rural just because it's in a village. We arrived to no hot water on the first day because the water heater apparently had no batteries. The owner should have checked it beforehand. It was obvious the place hadn't had a proper cleaning in ages, and I can't believe it's still open to the public. There were 11 of us paying for the accommodation and a canoeing activity. Two people didn't go canoeing, but they wouldn't offer even a discount. We also asked to check out later than noon, and they refused because a cleaning was scheduled. Their offer was to pay another €45 to stay until 3:30 pm. The whole thing felt underhanded and despicable. I spent longer writing this review than the owners seem to have spent looking after the house in the past 10 years. The whole stay was a disaster, and I don't know where to begin.

We went in July as a group of friends, planning on a couple of days away. Before we paid, everything seemed fine. After we handed over the deposit, around €900 for two days, they told us music wasn't allowed because a couple lived about 10 meters from the house. It felt like a ploy to get as much money as possible. We stayed inside late that night to avoid disturbing anyone, but the next morning the owner threatened to call the police over us disturbing the neighbors. He was incredibly rude and spoke to us in a disgraceful tone. They kept our deposit and told us to leave anyway, even though we'd looked after the house like our own and tried to reason with him. We lost a lot of money. Two friends who slept in one of the rooms also ended up covered in bed bug bites. I wouldn't recommend this place for a rural getaway, whether you're friends or a couple.

We came to spend a few days with family and enjoy the outdoors, so the patchy TV reception didn't bother us. The place has lovely outdoor areas, a barbecue, a pool, and plenty of nature around it. The furniture is a little old but works, and the decor has a quaint feel. The owners live 10 meters away and are on hand for questions or problems. There are also various good activities and adventures run by qualified people. There was another house next door with weekend guests, but that wasn't an issue for us. We've stayed in places with more beds nearby without a problem, and the kids played together in the pool. The house could be improved, but we'd stayed in similar places and it was what we expected. We returned in June 2019 and things were much better. We'll definitely come back next year.

We arrived at the infamous Treehouse and had to call the Civil Guard. Several users had reported this accommodation as a scam, and the Civil Guard confirmed it to us. Online, it was presented as spacious and cozy, almost like paradise thanks to doctored photos. In reality, it was a shack in deplorable shape, with awful hygiene, a door coming off its hinges, and a structure that creaked with every step. Susana manages the bookings and only communicates through WhatsApp. She doesn't answer calls and always asks for payment in advance by bank transfer. That's her modus operandi, and once you arrive and discover the scam, they refuse to give your money back. We'll pursue the complaint to the end. This place needs to be shut down.
