La Casa dels Abeuradors

Silvia, the girl who helped us, was a delight and attentive to all our questions. The apartment itself was wonderful, with thoughtful touches throughout. The decor and furniture were perfect, and we had a magnificent stay from beginning to end.

⚠️ PAY CLOSE ATTENTION BEFORE BOOKING ⚠️ My experience with Els Abeuradors accommodation and its owner, Dani, was very negative. After I booked through Booking.com, the owner repeatedly insisted that I pay outside the Booking.com app. That made me extremely suspicious and, in my view, was completely inappropriate, since Booking.com offers guarantees to prevent this kind of practice. Communication became tense, unpleasant, and unprofessional. I perceived the owner’s attitude as arrogant, so I decided to cancel. He assured me he would refund the remaining balance the next day, but that never happened. I still haven’t received the refund. On top of that, I’ve been blocked, so I have no way to contact him or get an explanation. The way he handled this seems very opaque and has left me with no trust. Based on my personal experience, I strongly advise future guests to be extremely cautious and vigilant when booking this accommodation. Since the issue remains unresolved, I’ll have to consider and pursue appropriate legal action to try to get my money back. After all this, I wouldn’t book here again or recommend it.

The apartment is well-equipped and well-maintained, and its central location makes it easy to reach all the tourist attractions quickly. It’s an excellent place to stay in Gandesa if you want to explore the area.

The owner was very friendly, and the place at Los Xorros de Fontcalda felt warm, welcoming, and bright. We’d definitely rent it again if we return. Highly recommended.
