Senator Gandia Hotel

We spent ten days at Senator over Christmas, from 17 to 27 December, and I’d definitely recommend it. The hotel and our room were spotless, breakfast from the buffet was delicious, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. It’s only a short walk to the beach. Since we were there in December, we always found a free spot on a nearby street and didn’t need the hotel car park.

The hotel was clean and in a good location, but the paper-thin walls made it impossible to ignore the neighbours’ entire cardio routine. Their dramatic vocals got so intense at one point that I wondered if someone was giving birth or trying out for an opera. My own bed even started vibrating along with it. If you’re after immersive sound and a bit of seismic activity while you sleep, this is the place. Otherwise, bring earplugs.

We had a bright, airy room with a balcony facing the big pool. It was quiet and modern, with a good bath and shower and a complimentary wash bag. There were plenty of loungers around the pool, so no need to rush out in the morning. Breakfast had lots of choice, including an egg station, fruit, a veggie corner, pastries, and even bubbles if you fancied a glass or two. The orange juice machine is worth trying. The hotel is near a fabulous sandy beach that reminded me of Miami beach, with good bars and restaurants within walking distance. There’s also a nearby bus stop for the old town, railway station, and bus links.

My wife and I had an unreal few days here, and we can’t wait to book the same hotel for 2026. The staff, hotel, food, and whole experience were amazing. It’s only a short walk to the beach and main strip. The drinks seemed to get stronger with each one, haha 😄. On our last day we got to have a spar, which left me feeling so refreshed 😊.
