Isla Baja Suites

The rooms look nice, but they aren’t soundproof, so we heard other guests and traffic day and night. The shower room was old and dark, with only a limited amount of warm water, and towels were changed just every three days. Guests should get to choose, especially when travelling with kids. Breakfast was lousy: the coffee was the only good part, the food choices were very limited and what was offered was low quality. The breakfast room felt like a train station. This is no way a 4* by Spanish standards. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.

We had a perfect stay in a beautiful suite with an ocean view. Despite the hotel being next to Garrachico’s main street and a music school next door, there was nothing to complain about noise-wise. It was very clean and the service was good.

The staff were kind, attentive and professional, and breakfast was another treat, delicious food made with good ingredients and presented beautifully. Our room was comfortable, spacious and impeccably clean, with exceptionally comfortable beds that made for restful nights. Isla Baja Suites sits right on the seafront in the charming town of Garachico, Tenerife, in a centuries-old building with a beautiful traditional Canarian courtyard full of character. The views are spectacular. I had a wonderful experience and would gladly return and recommend it.

The manager was extremely friendly and helped us with hiking routes. This small city has an amazing, peaceful atmosphere, and the house has a fascinating look and plenty of historical charm. Our room was exceptionally spacious and a pleasure to stay in. Sound carries through the house, though it didn’t bother us much. Given the building’s age and history, some noise is to be expected.
