The hostel makes a great base for exploring the Irati Forest, with routes up to the Zamariain viewpoint nearby. And don't miss breakfast, it’s absolutely worth having here. What makes the stay feel special is the care from Sagrario and her husband. Their service is warm and genuine, with a level of professionalism and attention that feels rare. It’s not about putting on a show with a polished reception, they simply look after their guests well.

The location made exploring Irati easy, with the forest’s western entrance close by and places like Roncesvalles, the weapons factory, and the Arpea cave nearby. They can also suggest routes. There’s a great restaurant right next door since the hostel doesn’t serve dinner. The room was roomy and comfortable, and the hostel has a pleasant shared space with a table, games, sofa, refrigerator, and microwave. Breakfast was a treat, with omelet, juice, toast, ham, jam, fruit, and yogurt. It’s a warm, welcoming place, and I’d happily return.

Good prices and a decent room in a handy spot in the Aezkoa Valley. The woman who runs the hostel was friendly and attentive throughout, and the service was excellent.

We were at home from the moment we arrived, thanks to how friendly Sagrario was and how well she kept us up to date. She and the rest of the staff gave us outstanding service over our two-day stay. The village is quiet, with a very good restaurant right next door for dinner. The house itself is lovely, and our room was clean and cozy, with good lighting, a large bed, and a wonderful pillow, which can be hard to find. We also had lovely views from the room. Breakfast was carefully prepared and excellent, with nothing missing, including a delicious Spanish omelet cooked fresh to order. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area.

The owner was so friendly and attentive, and always happy to share recommendations. Our room had a huge, incredibly comfortable bed, and the hostel felt super cozy. The town is beautiful too, with a fantastic restaurant right next door. 100% recommended!!💖💖
