La Serrana de la Vera Casa Rural

The owners were lovely, and we had no issues during our stay. The house is in a charming central spot, close to shops, with no through traffic. It’s arranged over three floors: an open living room and kitchen with ventilation downstairs, plus a bathroom, then bedrooms and a large bathroom on each of the upper floors. Since it’s open to the elements on both sides, it stays fairly cool. The place is cozy, clean, and beautifully renovated. We’ll be back, though the neighbors hoped we’d stay longer. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a quiet neighborhood where the friendly neighbors were happy to offer recommendations. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, too. The country house has plenty of space and all the amenities. Its very large bedrooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, and the bathrooms are lovely, with a mix of showers with screens and bathtubs. There’s also a roomy lounge on the third floor with air conditioning, a TV, and a games room. Highly recommend it.

We spent 10 days here as a family, and the house was clean, well cared for, and equipped with what we needed. The kitchen and dining area have a dishwasher, oven, microwave, and more; the bathrooms are spacious, including two walk-in showers. There’s air conditioning in every bedroom and in the living room. It’s in the old village, close to shops and restaurants, and about 500 meters from the natural pools for summer swims. A handy base for La Vera, its pools, the Monastery of Yuste, the Jerte Valley, and Plasencia.

The hostess gave us a warm welcome and excellent service. The little house was cozy, spotless, and well equipped.
