We spent a lovely week at Finca Vergel, Gata. Rosa and Sebastian made us feel welcome, and the rooms were comfortable with thoughtful details. The garden is beautifully cared for, with olive and various fruit trees, and having access to the river was an extra treat. Rosa's hearty breakfast set us up well for visiting the area's interesting medieval villages. She knows so much about them and her enthusiasm for their history really rubbed off on us. Surrounded by nature and birdsong, it's a calm, relaxing place for a holiday. Thanks, Rosa and Sebastian, for taking such good care of us.

We slept so well here, and breakfast was the sort that puts a smile on your face. The property is peaceful, beautiful, and very well looked after, a lovely spot to get away for a few days and enjoy the countryside. The owners are genuinely affectionate with pets, so you can bring yours along. Definitely worth a visit. I'll be back.

Avoid this, it's a scam. We booked through Abritel, but the house we got wasn't the one described in the listing. Instead, we ended up in a shed, and it was all a lie. There was no air conditioning, Wi-Fi, television, washing machine, etc. What other people have said about these same issues is true.

We rented a room for the weekend at Finca El Vergel in Gata (Cáceres), and were lucky enough to have the whole property to ourselves. The owners live on the property too. That wasn't a problem for us at all, since they were friendly and discreet. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, the pool is perfect for relaxing, and the breakfast they made us was spectacular. We give it top marks and will be back!

We loved the homemade breakfast, served with real care. The rooms are bright and welcoming, and the natural surroundings make it easy to switch off and enjoy the quiet. The estate has rural charm, thoughtful service, and a lovely sense of taste throughout. It's an extraordinary, peaceful place. This bed and breakfast was far better than any I've stayed at in other countries. I'll definitely be back very soon. Thank you.
