Holiday Inn Express Madrid - Getafe by IHG

The location beside the mall is handy, with lots to do there, and the rooms are good for the price. The receptionist and staff were super friendly. Breakfast was the only meal offered, but it was good. A great place for an overnight stop or a few nights.

The free breakfast was pretty good, and the rooms were clean. Still, the beds were too firm for me and the walls were paper thin. More than once we thought someone was coming into our room, but it was just the neighbours. The location only works well if you’re visiting the outlets next door. Otherwise, getting to or from the city centre takes at least an hour by transit.

The hotel is nice enough, and the rooms are small but okay for the price. Breakfast was quite terrible, though: no scrambled eggs or vegetables, bad coffee, and cheese that seemed artificial and really poor quality.

There are lots of places to eat nearby, and the hotel is right beside a shopping mall, so the location is excellent. Finding it is tricky because there are no signs. At the first roundabout in the complex, take the first exit. It may look like you’re heading to a car park, but that road also goes to the hotel. The internet access and service were poor, too. Why make things easy when you can make them difficult?
