Hostal Colon

The room itself was okay, but the shower door made a lot of noise and leaked, leaving the whole bathroom wet. WiFi didn’t work in the room either. When I raised it, the receptionist blamed my phone, even though it failed for both me and my boyfriend. She didn’t speak English and wasn’t helpful, and made me feel at fault for complaining. That really soured my impression of the hotel.

Parking was inexpensive, but you have to book it ahead of time. At check-in, things can take a very long time if you don’t happen to arrive when the one English-speaking staff member is there. Over four days, the cleaners only mopped the bedroom floor. They didn’t clean the bathroom or change the sheets.

There was hair in the bidet and on the pillow, holes in the dirty sheets, and bugs on the floor. The hygiene was really bad. They don’t speak English.

Everything was spotless, and the staff were lovely. The location is handy too, less than five minutes from the train station. I’d strongly recommend staying here.
