The regional antiques lining the halls give this Basque hotel a lovely character. The food was fresh and tasty, and the coffee and beer were wonderful too. We stayed one night. If a simple life and somewhere to sleep are what you’re after, this is the place.

The kitchen is the real strength here, with a wide selection of dishes that are consistently tasty and well prepared. The staff were friendly, and the rooms neat and clean. Good chefs.

It’s a very nice, quiet hotel in the middle of nature, with good food, welcoming staff, a comfortable bed and shower, and clean rooms. It’s 5 km from zarautz and the camino del norte. We took a taxi from zarautz, and in the morning the owner very kindly drove us back at 6:40 am. I’d strongly suggest this option if you’re walking the camino and would rather sleep in a hotel. Thank you!

It’s right on a traffic circle, so there’s a bit of noise, but the place is cute and comfortable. There’s no AC, though opening the windows let in a fresh breeze. Breakfast was good, the hosts were very nice, and it was good value. Close to the beach towns of Getaria and Zumaia, including Flysch Rocks. I’d stay again!

A basic, rustic hotel that feels tired, and the service wasn’t great. Itzar, the waitress, was really nice, though, and made an effort.
