The apartments are set in old Jewish premises, with nine flats over two floors and a wonderfully tucked-away terrace. We had a family room with four beds, a balcony, and a large bathroom. The appliances are a little dated, but that didn’t take away from the feeling of staying in a historic monument. The beds were comfortable, and although the air conditioning was just two fans, we got through a warm night with the balcony doors ajar. Church bells chime every quarter hour into the night and again from morning, but I think that’s part of the experience. Casa Cundaro is right in the old town. Reception is at the nearby Hotel Historic, where the super-friendly staff let us check in two hours early, which was a lovely surprise. We stayed just one night, though I could easily have stayed a few more. Highly recommended at a reasonable €132 per night. If you want a breakfast room, choose Hotel Historic.

The courtyard and big windows made the place feel wonderful, and the room was clean with comfortable beds. We were there with my parents and sister, and I honestly felt like crying with happiness. Casa Cundaro is in the Jewish quarter, among old alleyways and steps, just a one- or two-minute walk from the cathedral and perfectly placed for everything. There are a couple of flights of stairs, but it’s completely worth it. You’ll feel like a local.

The house feels genuinely old and authentic, and it’s in a great spot. Internet worked well. There’s no reception at the property, so check-in and check-out are handled at a hotel about two minutes away. The room has fans to cool it down, since there’s no air conditioning.

We had a really good stay. The bed was very comfy, and there’s air conditioning. The kitchen has what you need, but you’ll need to bring your own tea and coffee since no drinks are included. Staff were so helpful and friendly: they got us a hair dryer from their partner hotel a few minutes up the road, and when we locked ourselves out on a Sunday, they came to help. Great place for families or groups, and the location is fab.

The service from the family owners was incredible, and the rooms are beautiful and full of character. Casa Cundaro is in Girona’s Jewish quarter. I’d highly recommend it.
