The staff were kind, but they didn't speak any English. I managed in Spanish, which would normally be fair enough, but this is UNIVERSITY HOUSING, where you'd expect international guests. The building looks nice outside the rooms and is fairly central, but my room made an otherwise nice stay a struggle. It was very basic, with no noise insulation, and freezing in winter. I imagine it'd be hot in summer. I had the radiators turned all the way up and used every blanket in the room, and still struggled.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and the place has a lively cultural feel. The rooms were clean and decent quality, with a new cooling system, plus a comfortable chair and desk. It’s conveniently close to the center. The room itself barely had any light, there was no hand soap, and the Wi-Fi was weak on the higher floors. The bed and pillow weren't very comfortable. There wasn't much soundproofing from the inner courtyard, though noise from other rooms was blocked well. It could be noisy until 10 or 10:30 p.m., sometimes with live concerts in the courtyard, and then you might get woken around 8 a.m. Expect something equivalent to a 2-3 star hotel. It's university-owned.

I've stayed at Corrala four times, and it's my favourite place in Granada. Inside, it's especially beautiful and so peaceful. It's a university residence, with daily services and a handy 24-hour reception. Impeccable. The space has good acoustics for small live music events on special occasions, but I felt more at peace here than at any other hotel I've stayed in. ❤❤

The flamenco shows here are among Granada’s best, and it’s an attractive place. Just remember, you need to get an invitation at the venue on the day of the show.
