My wife was pregnant, and leaving during the Covid emergency felt too risky. We had planned to stay March 8-10, with free cancellation available until the end of February. But on March 3, cases surged in northern Italy, including an outbreak in my region, and we were worried about getting stranded in Spain if our return flight was canceled. Spain entered a Covid emergency on March 5, and Italians were canceling flights across Europe amid the panic. We canceled that day, but the free cancellation period had passed, so we asked the hotel and Booking.com for a refund. Ryanair canceled most flights to and from Italy on March 10, including our return flight, so luckily we hadn't gone. The refund never arrived, and the company kept the money without even replying. There was no common sense shown. I'm still waiting for my refund. Thank you.

The location is fantastic, but the apartment is badly planned and too expensive for what it offers. There is nowhere to store things in the kitchen, living room, or bathroom. In the main bedroom we got just four hangers for the four of us and no drawers, so we kept having to open our suitcases during the day. Cooking was awkward too: no salad bowl or dish towel, only four of each kind of plate and just four glasses because one was broken. There's no dish rack, so dishes had to drain on the tiny counter, using up the cooking space and leaving the kitchen flooded. The shower runs too freely and soaks the whole floor. There's no heating in the main bedroom and no washing machine, which made keeping clean difficult on a four-day trip with children. We won't stay here next time we're back.

I booked for December at the end of August, with the terms saying the full amount would be taken a week before the stay. Instead, I woke up the next day to find €600 gone from my account. I've been trying for over a month to reach Booking.com and the property. Booking.com was told I'd get the money back on October 1st, but I still haven't received my €600. The property doesn't answer calls or emails. When I called again today, I found the phone numbers didn't exist, and another line showed a signal but restricted calls. I've filed a police report. Scammers and thieves.

They charged me immediately for a Booking.com reservation that wasn't supposed to be prepaid, then vanished with the money. They never replied or even tried to refund me, and Booking.com couldn't reach them either, so Booking.com reimbursed me. They don't seem trustworthy, and I wouldn't risk it.

I booked for January 2021 in August, with payment due only 14 days before arrival. Yet on the booking day they charged my card €300 without my consent, split into €100 and €200 payments, even though they were only authorized to collect the agreed amount in one transaction and 14 days ahead of the stay. They ignored my first messages. When they finally replied, they said they were on vacation and I'd get the refund in a month. What?! There wasn't even an apology until I threatened legal action. They're scammers, shameless and unprofessional. It's a shame people like this operate legitimate businesses.
