Casa Del Aljibe

I had a confirmed booking for four months, but on the morning I was travelling to Granada, I messaged to ask about parking and was told it had been cancelled. They gave no explanation and said to contact booking dot com, claiming they had informed them a week earlier. When I asked what had happened, they stopped responding. Why wasn't I told directly? Would they have ever notified me, or only said something once I'd made the trip and arrived? The customer service was terrible, and the hotel came across as unprofessional and unserious.

The home's charm and views completely stunned me. What an amazing place!

The first-floor terrace had excellent views of the Alhambra, and the cleaning staff were very friendly 😊. My room was large, with a comfortable double bed, sofa, small table, chair, and little fridge. There was only a mirror in the small but adequate bathroom, so I missed having a full-sized one. The shower head seemed makeshift and was difficult to keep securely in position.

The rooms and hotel have a nice, authentic feel, but I wouldn't choose this place again. The pillows and towels smelled bad. It's tucked into the back streets of Albaicin, where cars can't reach, so you have to haul suitcases up and down steep stairs. Arriving by car is a problem too, since there's nowhere to park and the hotel sends you to a paid lot. If they run a hotel in a neighborhood like this, I think they should provide free guest parking, or at least pay for that lot themselves.
