The gate is shut 15 minutes before closing, so in winter that's 16:45. The woman was lovely and let us in briefly at 16:55, for three minutes, but she was already closing up all the rooms.

If Alhambra is sold out when you arrive, with tickets gone a month ahead, there are other beautiful palaces around Granada to visit. A combined ticket for four central sights costs just €7, and I thought it was well worth it.

An interesting Moorish house. Renovations are underway, and there aren't any exhibits at the moment.

El banuelo was small, but nice and interesting. Horno del oro, also included in the multi-site ticket, had an attractive main entrance, but the rooms were all empty. We felt completely ripped off by the ticket price. I've travelled a lot, and I'd tell people to skip it until the project is finished; there are much better places to visit. They say you can ask questions, but when we went, nobody was available or approachable except at el banuelo. You can go on a Sunday if you want to visit for free.
