My room was so cozy, and after hiking in Sierra Nevada, a soak in the claw foot tub in my France room was just right. I loved my stay. The staff were very nice, and everything in the hotel felt thoughtfully designed. The coffee and pastries and cakes were delicious too. As a solo American traveler, I hadn't realized I was in the middle of several really popular local tapas spots, so that was a lovely surprise. The street was busy but quieted down around 11pm, and on a clear day you can see the mountains from the room. I was accidentally late checking out. It was the end of my two weeks in Spain, and packing was hard because I'd bought so much. They didn't come to my room at all. I was hustling to get out for them anyway because they'd been so kind. I was sad to leave!

We stopped in for coffee and cake and loved the calm, comfortable atmosphere and relaxing music. The staff were friendly and professional too.

We left the car parked for our whole stay and got around on foot. A nearby private underground lot was only a few minutes away, and unloading our bags at the hotel first was easy. Even with a small SUV, parking wasn't an issue. The location is excellent, within walking distance of everything. We stayed two days in the Italian Room and American Room, and felt we got more than we paid for. David made our time in Granada special. He was attentive to what guests need and provided great service in a friendly, relaxed way. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and felt like eating in a good friend's kitchen. Our Italian room had a large bedroom, a full-sized second living room, and a spacious modern bathroom. The AC was ice-cold. We kept the persianas closed when we went out and switched off the AC and lights because we try to save energy. For the price, service, and experience, it was a great deal. I'd recommend the hotel.

The coffee in the room was a nice touch, and breakfast was delicious. The coffee was better than any we had during the rest of our trip. Showers were good once we figured out how they worked, though the French room doesn't have a stand-up shower. There's an elevator for taking you and your luggage up the stairs. Casa Palacete gave us a full European/Spanish experience, quite different from a big luxury hotel. The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful, and entertaining, and clearly one of the hardest-working men in show business. The rooms were decorated creatively, and the beds were queen-sized.

We really recommend the hotel's cafe, with its delicious food and great atmosphere. The hotel itself feels familiar and welcoming, and the staff are excellent. Our room was pretty, nicely furnished, and absolutely clean. It's centrally located, and our trips into the city and to the Sierra Nevada worked out well. The bathroom wasn't as attractive as the rooms, but it was completely sufficient.
