Granada Old Town Hostel

Cleanliness was the one positive: the hostel was indeed clean. But the bathrooms were old and uncomfortable, and staying on the second floor meant we couldn’t get a proper night’s sleep because of constant noise from upstairs. The narrow bunk ladders hurt your feet if you weren’t careful. We stayed two nights, and I honestly don’t understand the high ratings. We chose this place based on inaccurate reviews, which was a shame. The dorm was very basic, with old, noisy beds, and the lockers were too small for my belongings. This was the worst hostel experience I’ve ever had.

Mercedes at reception was incredibly kind and sweet, and made me feel right at home. She also gave me a map and suggestions for exploring Granada. I only stayed one night, but the hostel was central, safe, comfortable, and very clean. I loved it and would stay longer next time.

A country-wide blackout left us without accommodation, and we were really lucky this hostel took us in at the last minute and opened an emergency room. The rooms were spacious and great value, the toilets were sparkling clean, and the owners were super friendly and kind. I’d recommend it to anybody, 10/10!

I liked having a roomy kitchen for putting together simple meals, and there was a nice spot to relax on the top floor or outside. The hostel sits on a quiet street but still feels central. Staff were lovely, and check-in and checkout were easy. My four-woman dorm was shared with two other people. The top bunk had a handy lamp and shelf, though no outlet; its ladder hurt to climb, but felt solid. The place was clean, even if a few areas looked a little worn.
