The food and Granada’s architecture were the only things that made this stay somewhat bearable. We booked an apartment for five, but the fifth person was given a small couch instead of a proper bed. The old beds squeaked and sagged, and they left me with back pain. Street noise carried into the room all night, and light coming through the blinds woke me whenever a car passed the window. The WiFi kept cutting in and out, so I had to use my mobile hotspot for work. After a six-minute shower, the hot water was gone. When I told staff, they said there was plenty of hot water and more or less blamed me for showering too long, even though it had only been six minutes. Despite these problems, staff refused a refund and told us to move to another hotel. We already had a set schedule, and it was nearly impossible to find another place at a reasonable price during the busy Christmas season. Terrible service, beds, and showers, and a horrible experience overall.

Rocio, one of the managers, said rusty pans and old stains behind the radiator were my fault. They contacted Airbnb trying to get money from me and threatened to report me to the Civil Guard. It’s almost funny what they’re claiming, if it weren’t such a serious attempt to scam me. This is the worst agency I’ve ever had the displeasure of booking an apartment with. Absolute fraudsters, stay far away from these people and their apartments.

I can’t say what the apartments are like, and they may well be comfortable and well equipped. What I can speak to is how the owner handled our situation, which left a lot to be desired. We’re a family from Seville with two young children, booked for February 6-8, and after a difficult week of Storm Leonardo, I asked if we could change the dates. I wasn’t asking for a refund. Schools across Andalusia had closed over landslide and flood concerns, roads were shut, winds were over 50 km/h, and Storm Marta was forecast to arrive Saturday the 7th. I explained that I couldn’t put my family through a two-hour drive in those conditions. I knew the free cancellation deadline was January 27th and had passed, but hoped the owner might make an exception given the circumstances. He said he wouldn’t change or cancel because rain wasn’t a valid reason. With people displaced from their homes and the region dealing with this disaster, I think the situation deserved reconsideration. I hope others read this before booking. If a problem comes up, it seems the owner is content to keep the money and look the other way.
