The location may be beautiful, but the service, cleanliness, and overall stay fell far below what we expected. The rooms also need urgent renovations. We came for a special occasion, and I had asked in advance for a well-lit room. Instead, ours was dark and depressing. When we arrived late in the evening, I found at least six hairs in the bathroom, along with visible dirt and poor cleanliness. We complained, and the reservation manager eventually agreed to move us the next day, which we appreciated, but the experience was already spoiled. From the start, the atmosphere felt cold. Staff barely acknowledged us, showed no warmth, and the receptionist was rude and dismissive. When we left, nobody offered help with our luggage, said goodbye, asked how our stay had been, or even made basic eye contact. No good morning, no thank you, nothing. It felt like guests were just an inconvenience. I really wonder about the positive reviews.

It was quite a climb up from the city center, though the hotel is very convenient if you're visiting the Alhambra Palace complex, just a five-minute walk away. There's an open terrace, but no other outdoor space, pool, or spa. Given the location, a shuttle into town would be a nice touch. Our small room had a magnificent balcony view over the city, and the staff were all friendly, attentive, and efficient. It's a luxurious hotel and we enjoyed our stay, but it's expensive. For a five-star place, I'd expect a stocked mini-bar, eggs cooked to order rather than pre-made omelettes in a warming tray, and coffee served at the table instead of self-service. The bar and restaurant prices are high for food and drinks that were good, but not spectacular. We ate better and for less at nearby Mirador Carmen de San Miguel, which also has terraces and the same views. I still recommend the hotel, though it could improve in a few ways.

The views across the city were outstanding, and both the restaurant setting and food were wonderful. The wait staff were lovely, and everyone was accommodating and nice. The property is gorgeous inside and out, right beside a park and the grounds of the Alhambra. We did have a mix-up with the ride back to the airport. I confirmed the limo booking the night before for me and my two travel companions, but we think our ride was given to another guest. It was very early, so there were no cabs waiting. Thankfully, Granada airport is tiny and it didn't become a big problem. We had to split into two taxis to fit our luggage.

My wife and I had dreamed since we married of visiting Granada and staying at the magnificent Alhambra Palace Hotel. We finally celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary there, and it felt like a dream come true. The hotel's authentic Andalusian design gives it elegance and a historic atmosphere, and it's very close to the Alhambra Palace. We had a luxurious suite with a huge balcony, which made the stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Staff throughout the hotel, from the main entrance and reception to the lobby café and restaurant, were professional, welcoming, and attentive. Breakfast was varied and luxurious, with a high standard of quality and hospitality. A truly unforgettable stay, highly recommended for anyone who wants elegance, history, and excellent service.

The hotel is stunning, and our room had an amazing view. It's worth visiting even if you're staying somewhere else. The gym is tiny and has no cable machine, bench, or weights. Breakfast was pretty meh, so I wouldn't recommend eating there, especially since there aren't food options nearby.
