Hotel Inglaterra

The room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel is well maintained despite being in an older building. The elevator was really slow, and there was a slightly off-putting smell in the common area. The affiliated parking garage was also a bit far away. Still, it offers good value in a perfect city-center spot, and I’ll definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of sweet and savory choices. The lady in charge of the breakfast room was kind, attentive, and professional. Our triple room was comfortable, and the bathroom was functional, with a bidet. Check-in was quick and clear, and we got all the useful information efficiently. The hotel is a very pleasant stay, perfectly located a short walk from the Cathedral and well connected by public transport to both the train station and the Alhambra.

The hotel has an old-world feel and looks a little dated, but don’t let that put you off. The rooms were impeccably clean, the AC worked marvelously, and the staff were very kind. We usually skip hotel breakfast on trips, but tried it this time and don’t regret it. There are bars downstairs, though we had no trouble sleeping. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. I’d book here again if I came back to Granada.

The only thing to keep in mind is that rooms on the 4th and 5th floors are reached by stairs, since the lift only goes to level three. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a great shower. Breakfast was excellent and offered lots to choose from. The staff were helpful, especially the lady working in the evening.
