The hosts, Begoña and Juan Manuel, live just below the apartments. Begoña is warm and happy to communicate with Google Translate, and Juan Manuel welcomed us with a tour and speaks fluent English. They even left us a bottle of excellent red wine, the sort that would cost $30+ back home. The property has a lovely orchard where guests can pick fruit, plus a shaded pool that was a real blessing in Granada’s summer heat. The huge rooftop terrace has open views all around and incredible sunsets to the west. There are several cozy spots up there, so it doesn’t feel crowded, whether you want some quiet or feel like chatting with other travelers. We stayed in “Catedral,” which looked out over the garden and had direct sunset views. It felt like waking up in Eden. My girlfriend and I first visited Granada in early March. While walking around Albaicín, we found a quiet metal gate that opened onto an orchard and peaceful garden, a little dream tucked away from the city noise. We took a few photos and assumed we’d never see the place again. A week later, while back in Granada and looking through Booking, I spotted the same property. It was real, available, and affordable, so I booked right away. After staying there, I can say it’s my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. As of April 2025, they’re fully booked through September. If you see a free date, book it. I’d go back in a heartbeat, if my bank account could manage it!

The apartment was clean, and the hostess was really friendly. It’s walkable to downtown and the arabian street, with a magnificent sunset view and a good look at the old town. With luggage, though, you’ll need a cab to and from the train station.

The host was a sweetheart and very helpful. The apartments are modern and stylish, up in the Albaicin hills, with a little enchanted garden and small pool. Best of all is the big deck, where you can watch the sun set over Granada.

Begoña and her husband were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and flexible with our particular needs. The apartment itself was lovely, warm, quiet, clean, and new, with nice views and beautiful decor. It was in an old house that’s been restored, and each apartment had a personal touch that connected the past with the present. We really appreciated the basics they’d left for us: coffee, salt, olive oil, vinegar, pepper, sugar, and some lovely fruit. Having those things ready made it much easier to get started. There were bathroom basics too, along with nice towels and sheets. Such a special place. Thanks to both hosts for a wonderful experience, it was a pleasure!
