I ate at the cafeteria while visiting Alhambra, so I can’t comment on the hotel. The cafeteria was fine, but quite pricey. I paid 15 EUR for a tiny portion of tortilla de patata and a shot of salmorejo, which felt very overpriced. The other dishes were okay, but still very expensive for what they were.

We had a relaxed lunch on the terrace during a busy day at the Alhambra. After a short wait, we got a sunny table. The food was excellent, and so was the service, even though the place looked understaffed.

The staff were welcoming and knew their stuff, and the hotel’s location can’t be beat. Lovely hotel. I’d recommend paying for the on-site parking, then walking or taking a taxi to anywhere you want to go outside of the Alhambra.

The food and red wine were great, but the service could’ve been better. The lead server felt a bit cold at first. I specifically asked for tap water, but they brought filtered water without telling me. The bottle looked off, so I asked afterward, which made things awkward. I chose the food I wanted and didn’t go cheap, but I didn’t appreciate what felt like an unsolicited way to secretly inflate my bill. I was VERY clear about what I wanted.

Alhambra was closed because of a severe weather warning, and the hotel had known since 6am that day. They didn’t bother to tell us before we arrived that we’d be stuck in the hotel. The service was an absolute joke, and the arrogance is astonishing for this type of hotel.
