Frank was a lovely, friendly host, and San José Guest House is right in the city center near the bars. The rooms have an old fashioned look, though a few details give them character. The bathrooms felt a bit dated and could use some renovation. We still had a nice stay.

Frank was so kind and helpful, and kept everything very clean and in order. The guesthouse has a cute boutique feel, with distinctive decor and cool furniture, especially the metal frame bed. We also loved the big balcony style window looking out onto the garden. The location is excellent, on a quiet side street.

The location feels central, quiet, and secure. Frank made us feel welcome and was very helpful. There’s a great café around the corner that gives guests 10% off.

The manager was rude, as other comments here have also mentioned. During my stay, money went missing several times. I started taking photos before and after leaving the room, and I believe the cleaning staff were going through my belongings, including checking my pants pockets for cash. One day I caught the cleaning man looking through my wallet and taking money from it. I left my laptop recording footage of the theft, but the cleaner was very quick to cover it when entering the room. The owner confirmed that the cleaner had a criminal record and a history with local police, but still accused me of making things up and hallucinating, using language that was completely inappropriate. I’d avoid this place and these people, and enjoy beautiful Granada somewhere safer. If you do stay, don’t leave valuables unattended at any time. The cleaning man was even watching me when I went out for a smoke.

The manager was really nice, and the service was excellent. Everything was flexible, and the location is great, right in the center. It’s clean and perfect for two. I’d definitely stay again.
