Santa Isabel la Real Hotel

From the front of the hotel, the C32 goes straight to the Alhambra, and Saint Nicholas church is only minutes away for a great palace view. It's right in the middle of Albacin, with a view towards the Alhambra. The building is old, cool, and cozy, and there's parking right next door. The man who greeted us at reception, I think his name was Ingo, was the friendliest person we met on a trip full of kind people. They even let us leave our car in the garage after checkout. Breakfast could use a few more options, but all in all, it's a nice place to stay in Granada.

The homemade breakfast was excellent, and the hilltop setting gives you views of the snow-capped mountains and Alhambra. It's a lovely little hotel that brought back memories of trips to southern Europe years ago, with hospitality that felt sincere instead of institutionally trained.

The homemade bread at breakfast, served with marmalade, was a small touch that really captured the hotel's welcoming spirit. We found the place quaint, quiet, and full of charm, with an authentic Andalusian feel. From arrival, the staff were warm, knew the area well, and shared local tips that helped us explore like insiders. The combination of its setting and thoughtful, personal service made our trip memorable.

Breakfast was simple, nicely presented, and very enjoyable. This little hotel is run by a lovely family and sits in a great spot for exploring Granada. They can arrange excellent guides, and the fascinating Moorish House, also family-owned, is just down the road. I'd happily recommend staying here.
