Shine Albayzín Hotel

The rooms were spacious, warm, and clean, with charming little balconies and local architectural touches. We also liked the high-quality cafe, the professional and friendly staff, and the atmosphere. We got a substantial discount through the booking site, which made it particularly good value. The location was great too. One thing to bear in mind is that reception isn't staffed after 9 pm. The keys work at any hour, so this only limits how late you can collect bags after checkout. I'd book again if I found a similar deal.

The location was great, and we did get a refund for one of our two nights, which I appreciate. But the room was so dirty that we would have left if any of the roughly ten other hotels we called had space. We found a lot of hair when we pulled back the sheets. Three replacement sets still had assorted stains, dark hair, or bits of tape, so we changed them ourselves because cleaning staff weren't available and the front desk was the only staff there. Management never called us back, and their hours were limited. The shower looked gross, the sofa was stained, and the air conditioner looked like there might be mold on the wall. These were only some of the sheet photos I took. I was extremely disappointed.

We stayed there last month, in September. It was very convenient, within walking distance of Alhambra, the city centre, and plenty of great places to eat. Housekeeping could be a little better, but overall we had a very good stay. Antonio at the front desk was lovely and informative. Thank you!

The room had an amazing view, and the hotel sits right in the main city hub, surrounded by restaurants and cafes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was only expecting to leave our bags until check-in, but they surprised us with an early room, which let us make the most of the day. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. ❤️
