The Central House Granada Elvira Hostel

The terrace is a real stunner, and the staff were lovely throughout. I slept like a baby in the great dorms and beds. Breakfast was pretty good for a hostel, too. The only downside I noticed was that the Wi-Fi barely reached my corner of the dorm. I guess some teething issues are expected with a new property. I stayed here over the past week and really liked it.

The staff are really friendly and speak English fluently. Pilar was a big help. The hostel is near Puerta de Elvira, which makes it convenient to get to Plaza de San Nicolás. Since it has only recently opened, the furniture is brand new and still has a noticeable smell. If you're sensitive to smells, you might want to book a few months later. The ceiling doesn't seem fully sealed either, because dust can fall when there's activity upstairs. The shower stall is tiny, and the motion-sensor light switches off while you're showering.

The three women at reception were honestly the friendliest staff I've ever met. I strongly recommend this hostel. My roommates were all quiet and friendly, and we had some lovely conversations. There was plenty of room overall, and the beds were surprisingly spacious too. The mixed dorm has two bathrooms, with two separate shower rooms. One is a private shower with its own toilet, which is really convenient. Each bed has Type-B and Type-C USB ports plus a regular outlet, three in all, along with a bedside light. There's more personal space than in a capsule hotel, including a small shelf behind you that holds a lot of belongings. Honestly, nothing to complain about. 10/10. Well done, ladies! 👏

The board game night made the place feel lively and welcoming when I arrived. I was only in Granada for one night, and everything went smoothly. I got there around 11 pm, but reception was still open and the guy at the desk was super friendly. Check-in was quick since I'd done it online already, which I'd definitely recommend. My four-bed room was clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. There are two washrooms and one shared shower for about 12 people, and that worked fine while it wasn't too busy. Breakfast the next morning was surprisingly good for €15. A solid, affordable option for a night or two if you want somewhere friendly and well organized.
