Villa Oniria

Our Junior Suite was enormous and elegant. It had a four post bed, lovely furniture, a double shower, a separate bath, double vanity and its own toilet room with bidet. The balcony was huge and looked over gardens, perfect for reading in the afternoon after the walk up to the Alhambra. One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in.

We had a spacious, clean room with all the things we needed, including a safe and hairdryer. The hotel is in the center of Granada, and the Cathedral, Alhambra and Plaza San Nicolas are all within a walk of up to 30 minutes. We didn't use the restaurant or Spa, so can't comment on those. Breakfast was small but fresh, without the huge buffet you get at some hotels. Eggs and other hot food could be ordered when we wanted. It's an excellent place in the heart of Granada, highly recommended.

The staff were happy and helpful, and my corner room was delightful. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and the location was great. As a solo traveller, I found it perfect. This was the nicest hotel I stayed at in Spain over the past 3 weeks, much better than some of the ordinary, impersonal big 5 star hotels.

The restaurant made a great impression, with a relaxed but still formal feel, beautifully presented local dishes, and staff who clearly cared about serving them. I also loved the garden for catching some sunshine, though in February the evenings were still too cold for the bar to be open regularly. The public spaces were stylish, and my room was spotless, fresh smelling, and elegantly furnished. It even had two small balconies. Rooms facing the main street can be noisier, but I liked feeling right in the middle of local city life, and it didn’t bother me. Villa Oniria is a beautifully converted villa with a calm, intimate atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. Its spot in the old centre was ideal. Finding it by car took a while because the sat nav was slow to catch up with the turns and narrow streets, but I got there in the end, and the valet brought the car right outside when I needed it. I stayed two nights on business and plan to come back as a tourist later this year. We’ll definitely book Villa Oniria again.
