Apartamento Estrella del Mar

The cockroaches, including in the bathroom, were the worst part of a stay that nearly ruined our honeymoon. We eventually had to leave, losing time and money and dealing with a lot of stress. The host was rude when we explained what had happened, making it even worse. The place is old and falling apart, with a dirty, disgusting bathroom, stained towels, a rusty bathtub I couldn't bring myself to use, and a mirror that looked like it came from a crackhouse. The bedroom looked good in the listing but felt creepy in person, with a dirty plastic chair, plastic flowers and an old dirty fan. The sheets felt like waxcloth and weren't comfortable. A fridge handle also came off when we tried to open it. Check-in was a problem too because the locker code didn't work. It's not worth the price and doesn't meet hygiene standards. Avoid booking here.

This is Estrella del Mar, a private apartment complex with some flats rented out. The apartments all have sea views, though their condition varies: some have been modernised and others less so. The facade has been maintained over the years, and the pool and interior walkways are cleaned every day.

I came back in 2023 with my daughter to stay and heal after a bereavement, and it was lovely to catch up with old friends. I'd already loved living here for the previous three months. The building is cleaned every day and extremely well maintained. I made lots of friends and can't wait to return.

The view is lovely, and the place is clean and simple, with restaurants close by. We had everything we needed. The bed was listed as a double, but it was actually two very soft singles. The sofa bed in the lounge was firm and really comfortable, and came with a view. I'd stay here again.
