For what we paid, the value was shocking, and the hotel refused to refund the second night after we accidentally booked two. The rooms were in awful shape despite the nicer reception shown in Booking.com photos, and the view was of a messy area and a demolished building. The furniture was old, the bed uncomfortable, and you could hear every word from the hallway as well as noise from outside. There was no parking, either. If you’re expecting a bathtub, it’s really just a small basin for your feet. The airport is nearby, but there are better places for less money where you might actually sleep well. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The location was pretty convenient, and the staff were polite, respectful, and worked hard to meet everyone’s needs. But the room was terrible for the price, and the one I stayed in especially needs renovating. The sound insulation was so poor you could hear everything from a kilometre around. I’m not hating, just being honest. Without the polite staff, I wouldn’t even have given it one star.

We chose Hotel Aeropuerto Sur Tenerife for the night of 31.12.25-01.01.26, for two adults and a child, because it was listed as a 3-star hotel and only about eight minutes by car from the airport, which suited our early flight. At nearly €270 for one night, though, the value was poor. The building felt extremely flimsy, and outside noise came straight into the room. Some noise from New Year’s celebrations couldn’t be helped, but with so little sound insulation we couldn’t rest properly. I personally slept only about two hours. The room was also very cold, and the building felt worn and outdated. It didn’t meet what I’d reasonably expect from a 3-star hotel at that price.

The staff were good and the place was clean, but those were the only positives. The room was very old, with nowhere to charge a phone except the bathroom, and its window looked into the hotel at a wall. The online pictures bear no relation to what we found. It wasn’t worth the price.
