Hotel Ventus

The room was dirty and noisy, smelled like gas station toilet mixed with body spray, and looked nothing like the photos. Afterward, we tried asking for a refund, but the hotel ignored our messages. We’d booked one night because we were arriving late, and completed online check-in, which gave us a code for the building and room. It didn’t work when we got there. Other guests were already stuck outside too. They’d also booked for one night before an early flight, and said their code had worked during the day, but now they couldn’t get in or retrieve their luggage. We called several times without an answer, then waited two hours until someone left the building and let us in. We’d joked earlier that we might end up sleeping on the beach if the code failed. That’s exactly what happened. Absolutely not recommended.

The room was quite nice, and the location was great. Service was the letdown. The main reception and cleaning staff member didn’t speak English, and although we tried to communicate, she wasn’t very welcoming and was hard to interact with.

I was really impressed with how clean the hotel was and the nice views from the balcony. I checked in online a week before my trip and received a PIN for the doors. Absolutely lovely place. I wish my company booked us into hotels this nice!

The PIN entry worked well, and the room did the job for our one night. We arrived at Tenerife Sur airport in the middle of the night, and the taxi ride here was quick and very short. The room was pretty old, but clean, and we slept well. My husband was especially happy that the air conditioning worked properly. We knew there wasn’t much service here, so that was fine, as everything worked.
