The food was the best we’d had so far on the Camino, cooked by a team of Colombian women. Mme Conchita was so warm and kind. We’ve stayed here twice, first in the pilgrims’ shared room five years ago, and this time in a private room for two. That was a great choice, especially after the day via Hospotales. Such a peaceful, beautiful place in the middle of nature.

The family running the place makes you feel like one of their own. Conchita has such a lovely, motherly way about her and makes sure you have everything you need. The food at the restaurant is amazing, with huge portions and great prices, and there’s a living room, snooker table, and swimming pool too. It’s in a beautiful, peaceful valley beyond Berducedo, well worth the extra 4km and a great place for a rest day. In my ten Caminos, this is the best albergue I’ve stayed in. The accommodation is everything you could ask for. Absolute gold standard. Next time I’m bringing adoption papers so I can join the family.

A lovely spot, and a great place to set off from the next day. The facilities were excellent, with power available everywhere and plenty of places to hang wet clothes. Beds were standard. I didn’t eat at the restaurant, but heard several people rave about the food quality and portions. My favorite Albergue on the Primitivo.

We stopped on the Primitivo on 15/06/25 for coffee and snacks. The albergue has a really nice setup, with a terrace outside, and sits at a bend in the road. The pool looked relaxing, and the staff were friendly. We’d stay here another time.

Lovely mountains and a good area for walks. Get the fries, or patatas, they’re pure goodness for your stomach. They cook so well, YUMMY!!! 😍
