Hotel Ciutat de Granollers

The restaurant was a highlight, with great food cooked perfectly. Everyone with me had very positive feedback. The modern entrance, reception, and public areas also made a good impression, and the rooms have good views. The hotel is near Granollers and, for some people, the main draw will be Circuit of Barcelona. The windows don't insulate well, so wind can be audible in some rooms and make for an unpleasant stay. There's a gym downstairs, but it's open to the public rather than reserved for hotel guests. That means lots of equipment and classes, which is useful, though it can be crowded much of the time. They also have meeting and corporate rooms with catering, good tables and chairs, and a big TV. I'd highly recommend the place.

I booked two nights, then asked if I could arrive on the second day and pay for just one night. They told me that would be fine, but I was charged for both nights. It wasn't a pleasant experience.

The hotel sits in a quiet area and is well located. Our room was well maintained and cleaned daily, and the air conditioning was already on when we arrived, so the temperature was just right. Service was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good enough each day. I can definitely recommend the place.

The walls did nothing to block sound, despite the hotel's claims. We could hear a pen drop next door, which made it hard to relax. I emailed them to discuss the problems but got no answer, and the price was nowhere near worth the stay. There was dust packed into the AC grill and stains on both the floor and office chair, so the room clearly needed a proper clean. The bathroom had hand soap but no shampoo, conditioner, or even drinking water. That's unacceptable, especially for a four-star hotel. The room was advertised with one large double bed, but we found two single beds pushed together. They separated when I slept in the middle, making it extremely uncomfortable. Pool hours were listed on the website, but they never explained that those hours applied to the indoor pool, which costs extra. The included pool closes earlier. I was disappointed by all these things, none of which should happen in a hotel, let alone one with four stars.
