Casa Rural Guadalete

The facilities were excellent, and everyone made us feel so welcome. A fantastic experience!

The house has a great location, lots of welcoming space, a fantastic pool, a lovely fireplace, warm rooms, and great furniture. But the cutlery and dishes, bedding, and towels need replacing. The towels don't dry, and the sheets are very worn. I hope this comes across as constructive feedback. I came away feeling we'd stayed in a fantastic house that's clearly seen better days and needs updating.

All the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, and the heated pool on the second floor is the standout feature for a weekend away. There's a fireplace in the living room and radiators throughout. The bathrooms feel a bit dated, and the kitchen is too small for the number of guests the house accommodates, but it's a wonderful place to stay.

This was our third stay at Casa Guadalupe, and we love it, but there are things that need changing. The kitchen has plenty of utensils, though the knives are incredibly dull, and the dishes need washing before use because they aren't very clean. The living room sofas are old and worn, and you slip on them. We also couldn't figure out why the heaters or radiators came on during the day but switched off at night, and several bedroom TVs either didn't work or we couldn't get them working. The children reacted to condensation in the enclosed pool area, where the chlorine level was high. When we told the owner, he seemed reluctant to believe us, but we later confirmed it was true. I'm leaving this as constructive feedback, with no intention to offend. I love coming here, but these issues need attention.
