La Mejorana is a beautiful old hotel, and one of the loveliest places I’ve ever stayed. The en suite rooms are lovely, and there’s a fabulous shared sitting room with an open fire at night. By day, we enjoyed the sunny terrace, pool, and views. The owner and staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful. They also provide loads of information about the area. Breakfast each morning was a plentiful continental spread, and really nice. We did two days of circular walks around Grazalema and didn’t need a car. The routes were tough, but generally well marked. We had a written guide by the excellent Guy Hunter-Watts, and the hotel also has lots of guides and maps. The views were breathtaking. Check the forecast before setting out. The Spanish Met Office seemed very accurate, and we were lucky to have clear blue skies and warm sunshine in March. I’d absolutely recommend staying at La Mejorana and in Grazalema.

Andreas was very helpful with advice on excursions and restaurants, and the simple breakfast was tasty. Our tariff included picnic lunches for half the days, which came in handy. This small, charming B&B has a comfortable lounge and facilities for making tea during the day. It’s well located in a spectacular village and made a great base for walks, visits to Ronda, and trips to the Neolithic and Paleolithic caves. We feel lucky to have found it.

We stayed for three nights and Andres and Ana made sure we were well looked after. The guest house is beautiful, with simple facilities, spacious patios, and a pool area. Grazalema has lots of good places to eat, and the surrounding countryside is great for hiking. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The local walks booklet was fantastic, and Andres was always around with extra advice. He clearly cares about his hotel, village, and the local area, and the attention to detail really shows. Breakfast was lovely, and the rooms, pool, and terrace were spot on. What a wonderful hotel, everything was perfect. It was the best place we stayed on our trip around Andalusia. Thank you, Andres, for such a lovely stay.

What makes La Mejorana special is the host’s kindness and attentiveness. His love for the hotel and Grazalema comes through, and he recommends excursions to suit your interests, making you feel at home. We were grateful to meet such a kind host. The hotel is beautiful, with antique furnishings. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. The terrace overlooking the pool and valley was a lovely spot for an aperitif, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared with everything you could wish for. Staying at La Mejorana was a real pleasure. Many thanks, and we highly recommend it.
