Hotel Hotel Pax Guadalajara was a comfortable, welcoming place to stay, just what I needed while visiting the city. I’d happily recommend it.

We were there for a wedding with 25 rooms booked, and they hadn’t reserved the suite for the couple. That was one part of a long list of problems. Staff were rude, our reservation wasn’t handled properly, and they asked us to leave breakfast while we were still eating. There was no compensation and no proper apology. A disgrace.

The room was spacious and clean, with good beds and a really good shower. The food was very good too, and the women at reception and in the restaurant were lovely. Parking is a little tight, but there’s space behind the hotel or across the street.

The restaurant room gets very noisy because the acoustics are bad. The location is okay, but hotel service was almost nonexistent, with too few staff and not enough qualifications.

We didn’t feel welcome at all, and people turned their noses up at us. Someone spat at our group, called us racial slurs, and swore at us. The food was disgusting and cold, and much of it wasn’t even edible. Breakfast was a mess too, with so much liquid in each meat tin that you had to fish around to find the meat. Awful place, disgusting service.
