There’s a big indoor dining room for lunch and plenty of menus to choose from. The food was great, and the service was good too.

The owners are so welcoming, and the place is spotless. The rooms were immaculate, and Hostal Lujuan is only two minutes from the Royal Monastery of Guadalupe. I’d give it a 10. Whenever we’re in Guadalupe, we’ll stay here again without hesitation. You can also find them on Instagram at @hostal_lujuan.

They've just reopened under new owners. The breakfasts are really good, especially the delicious tosta extremeña. The staff are friendly and attentive. I'd recommend it.

We got two sandwiches to take away, and I think they were the worst we’ve ever had. The bread was soft, there was no oil, and the cold cuts were poor quality. They charged €6 each.

The hostel was fine, good enough for a night’s sleep while visiting town. We got there at 10:15 PM, after the kitchen had closed at 10:00, so I can’t really comment on the food. There were hamburgers on a table that nobody had touched, and I understand they may not have been out of the kitchen for 15 minutes. Still, it’s hard to understand a hospitality and restaurant business closing the kitchen then, especially on a December holiday weekend.
