Emporda Golf Hotel And Spa

The Entrecamps Restaurant/Bar was the main letdown. Service felt inexperienced, the menu was mostly snack food, and the bar had very limited options. It works for a bite after golf, but closes at 22:30, earlier than the 23:30 listed on its website and Google. For dinner, El Pedro and Mas Pou are excellent local choices, less than 10 minutes away. Terraverda Hotel & Bar is good, with a Scandinavian feel, clean and stylish decor, spacious rooms in different categories and with different views, and a comprehensive buffet breakfast. Most rooms have excellent balconies. The hotel bar is disappointing and closes early. There’s also a spa for an extra charge and a free outdoor pool, though it isn’t heated. The resort brings together two courses, a clubhouse, Entrecamps and the hotel, all close by. Both courses, Forest and Dunes/Links, are excellent and well maintained by experienced green staff. Forest’s tee boxes were updated in 2026. Dunes/Links isn’t quite a links course, but it’s a good imitation. The starters are strict, and the practice range, with a live cam, and the large putting green are excellent. Both 18th holes meet at one huge U-shaped green, a Robert von Hagge signature. Golf groups and associations are common, so book early. Emporda Golf Resort is a good choice for a golf trip because everything is close together. Just allow an extra 5-10 minutes to head out for dinner.

Breakfasts were generous, and we ate well at several restaurants within a 10-minute drive. The room was large, with lovely views over both courses, and the staff were excellent. When a problem came up, it was sorted quickly and to our satisfaction, with a kind gesture from the Director as well. We’ll be back.

The desserts were the restaurant’s one bright spot, they were quite good. The rest of the food was extremely disappointing, which isn’t acceptable for a four-star hotel. The hotel itself is nice and quiet, with spacious, clean rooms and decent breakfasts.

The course was in good shape and had a nice layout, though it was challenging. Our round took five hours because a society ahead of us slowed play painfully, far too long for us. The welcome and information were great, the pro shop was very well stocked, and there was a decent bar and refreshments afterwards. It’s also a bit of a journey to get there unless you’re staying on site.
