Fidalsa Café del Mar

The apartment is on the ground floor and easy to access from the street, with no security to stop someone getting in through the terrace. Four days before our stay was due to end, someone put glue in the access locks. We don’t know why, perhaps vandalism or a way of marking the apartment for someone else. We decided to leave. Since it happened around 11 PM, we had to travel in the early hours with the children. When we asked for a refund for the days we wouldn’t use, the management refused to refund that day, saying we had been there for the day, even though we hadn’t slept in the apartment. The trouble had started from day one with Beach Time (Guardamar del Segura). We arrived at the agreed time, but the keys weren’t where we’d been told they would be. We had to walk across town to collect them, though thankfully we weren’t using public transport. The apartment management company was terrible. They only respond when they feel like it, no matter how urgent the problem is. I’ve stayed in tourist apartments for many years, and this was by far my worst experience. I would never stay there again.
