We spent about an hour here warming up in the sun after the beach breeze turned chilly. It’s a pleasant, open space with apartment buildings all around, and there are plenty of different seats to choose from. There are two play areas for children, too. You can find shade when it’s hot, or sit in the sun like we did. The whole area is accessible, though it does have a very gentle slope. The graffiti people mentioned is still there, but it’s limited to a few vacant commercial units. Maybe we’re used to it from London, but it didn’t seem too bad to us or spoil our time there.

There are restaurants and cafes all around this plaza, and it’s a nice spot to sit and take it easy. In the afternoons and evenings, people are always around chatting while children play. I really like it.

La Tapería, the tapas bar we tried, was excellent. The square itself is lovely too, but the area around it is in rough shape, with graffiti everywhere and a real need for a cleanup. More of the commercial units should be rented out.

A clean, quiet spot for recreation, with good restaurants around the square.

The park is alright for a little play with the kids, but there’s graffiti all around. I wouldn’t choose it for a day out.
