I can't recommend this place. Our experience was very negative, and the poor service left us feeling unsafe. At night, an employee acted aggressively toward us on the terrace, which was deeply disturbing. We had to call the police for support.

We stayed here on a quiet Sunday in the off season. The place has a distinctly interesting feel, and seems set up for the ski trade. The decoration is fabulous, probably from the early 80s, with some marvellous stained glass. If you're travelling along the Sierra Nevada, it's a great place to stop, about three quarters of an hour outside Granada. We didn't explore much, though I can imagine there are good mountain trails for walking.

Fidel was very friendly and helpful, and after a difficult start getting in for check-in, everything went well. The rooms and facilities were nice, as were the restaurant and food. It did feel a bit understaffed, especially in the restaurant, but the staff kept going with smiles and good humour.

The breakfast was very nice, with plenty of good choices, and the staff were friendly. It's a lovely place to stay, about a 15-minute drive from the skiing areas. There aren't any nearby shops, and the hotel has no vending machines or snacks or water except at the bar, so come prepared.
