Apartamentos Alcalá - Tenerife

I felt scammed by the difference between the hotel's online photos and services and what I found when I arrived. I was given a completely different room and didn't get the balcony I'd booked. Instead, my window looked straight into someone else's, so they could see me and I had no privacy at all. It felt like a prison. We also didn't get everything the online listing said was included. When I raised this with management, they asked for another £400 for a room with a balcony and a view. I'd already paid for what they said I would get. They told me the photos were just an overall view of the hotel, not pictures of individual rooms, and blamed me for not reading the whole contract. I'm very disappointed with the hotel and its management. I won't be back. It was a waste of money.

The location is awesome, and the city has a local feel because there aren't many tourists. The apartment is well equipped and even had a few extras, like a beach mat. But the apartment itself is really average. There are some big problems. The building smells really unpleasant when you walk in, and the walls do nothing to block sound, so you can hear other people's alarms in the morning. The beds are just bad, and the pillow is so small it feels like it isn't there at all.

The apartment is basic, but it had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and even some spare bin bags. We chose it for the location and were really happy with that choice. The staff were so friendly: when I accidentally locked the keys inside, they sorted it out without any hassle. Very happy with our stay, and we can't wait to come back.

We had fantastic sea views from this clean, lovely apartment in cozy Alcala, and the location was ideal. Check-in went smoothly, and the manager was very helpful, even with our luggage and arranging a taxi to the airport. The place was well equipped too. A wonderful stay, highly recommended!
