Casa Mariposa Guesthouse

The outdoor spaces are lovely for relaxing, with excellent views, and there’s bike storage. It’s a convenient base for cycling, with restaurants and bars also close by in Playa San Juan. Dean and Kerry are welcoming and hospitable, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Since it’s a guesthouse rather than a hotel, it’s a good idea to check details like your arrival time and deposit with them in advance. We had a great stay, and the rates are good.

Kerry and Dean made us feel completely at home from the start. We spent 10 nights there and would love to return. The location is handy for beaches and very good restaurants, away from the main tourist paths. The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast is available if you want it, with a varied menu.

Kerry and Dean take a personal interest in your travels and well-being, and do everything they can to make you feel at home. The guesthouse has very clean rooms and fresh towels, several breakfast choices, and a great Jacuzzi. They also share travel tips and, when possible, can provide specific drinks. For a cozy, personal B&B, I highly recommend staying here.

The terraces are a lovely sun trap during the day, and the views are wonderful. The hosts made us feel so welcome. The house is beautifully decorated, clean, and cozy. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
