A clean, comfortable and simple traditional apartment complex. Each self-contained room has a small toilet and shower room. The kitchen is shared, so sometimes you have to wait for other guests to finish preparing food, but it also gives you a chance to meet people. We met visitors from Poland, France and the Czech Republic. If you want polished surfaces, room service or a concierge, the big resorts are a better fit. For a taste of traditional Canarian life, this is the place :)

We spent a week here with a big family group, from grandparents to children. Past the front gate, it opens into a lovely yard with several separate buildings, giving an authentic sense of how locals have lived for centuries. Every room has its own bathroom, and there are terraces for spending time together or watching the sun set behind La Gomera to the west. The shared kitchen is fine for breakfast or a simple meal, though there's no oven. Chio is away from the big tourist centres, with direct access to El Teide. The local residents struck us as friendly and open. We'd gladly come back.

Everything you need to relax and feel at home is here: a full kitchen, little garden and cozy rooftop terrace. Check-in was easy to do ourselves, and there were lots of local recommendations. The place has a great, calm but communal vibe, and our room was quiet and cool in both style and temperature. There's probably the best bar in Tenerife just up the street for breakfast, smoothies, snacks and drinks. Definitely recommended!

A great spot to rest while enjoying Tenerife. It's easy to reach, close to the volcano and the beach. Even in the hot season, the temperature there is pleasantly refreshing.
