Los Jardines de Abama Suites & Villas

We’ve stayed at Jardines de Abama twice now, and we’ll be back for a third visit. Our two-year-old came along, and the whole stay felt effortless. The friendly, helpful staff, villas, pools and breakfasts made it hard to leave. It was wonderfully relaxing. It isn’t the cheapest place in Tenerife, but the accommodation and facilities make it excellent value. The free shuttle to the beach means no need to think about parking, and they provide beach towels too.

We felt very well cared for, and minor problems were fixed straight away. The customer service was fantastic. Our villa was in the lower part of the resort, where we enjoyed privacy, peace, the surroundings and the views. The villa amenities, pools, shared spaces and the whole property all deserve 5*+. I’d put the resort above Abama Tarasas and Ritz-Carlton Abama, and definitely recommend it.

The villa was spacious and pleasant, but at €5,500 a week I can’t accept this level of execution, especially given my extensive experience in luxury hospitality. One room couldn’t be used because it was filled with stored items. A bedroom blind was broken, the shower had almost no pressure for the first three days until someone intervened, and several terrace lights weren’t working when we arrived. The most concerning issue was being checked out by mistake after just one night of a seven-night booking. Our key cards stopped working, so after a long day out we had to go back to reception. We’d chosen the villa for its view, but a construction crane stood right in front of it, and nobody told us beforehand or adjusted the price. At this price, I expect flawless execution, proactive maintenance and attention to detail. The lack of quality control fell short of true luxury standards.

Cindy at the front desk made my trip much more enjoyable. She was kind, professional and helpful throughout my stay, and her warm personality and positive attitude made me feel welcome and well looked after. I really enjoyed interacting with her. She’s an excellent front desk professional.
