The service was really good, and there was a nice range of dishes on the menu. Everything was cooked well.

The food was the one positive at Hostal Restaurante Jamaica. Still, it doesn't seem worth traveling to such a remote spot just for a meal unless you're already passing through. The staff were very unpleasant, and the rooms had a bad smell. You could tell as soon as you walked in that hygiene and maintenance were lacking.

We took a detour hoping to get some food and gas, but found everything closed. They stop serving food, sandwiches, anything, at 3 pm. It was Sunday, that's true, but making a sandwich only takes a minute.
