The garden was one of my favorite spots, with banana, avocado, and other lovely trees, plus a BBQ grill. It’s a relaxing place to hang out. The beds were good, the bathrooms spacious and well equipped, and everything was clean and working properly. Elma and Fabiano made this one of my favorite hostels. They welcomed me like family and looked after me so well that when I was away for a while, Elma even messaged to see if I was okay. They also gave me useful tips for hiking and cycling around the island. I’d recommend staying for breakfast and dinner. Elma is a wizard in the kitchen and makes delicious, healthy food, including amazing vegan dishes. HyperDino is also not far if you need anything else. Their little boy is two, though he looks about four and is strong as a ten-year-old. Watching him play was fun.

The room was large, and there’s a pleasant garden with a small pool. The woman really tries to make your stay enjoyable. The man, though, is a tough one: no smiles, and even getting a hello was difficult. He seemed happiest when we were leaving. The hostel isn’t in town, and the road to get there is a bit challenging. There also aren’t cooking facilities, so we couldn’t make our own breakfast or a simple evening meal. A toaster, hot water, somewhere to bake an egg, and a fridge would have helped. As it is, you have to head into town or down to the beach, which isn’t always what you feel like doing.

You can tell this place is run with love. The hosts are lovely, and somehow they still make time for a chat despite how busy they are. Keeping somewhere like this going can’t be easy. I hope the business grows and brings its owners plenty of happiness and prosperity. And the food Elma cooks is really great!

The garden and surrounding landscape are lovely, and the bathrooms are really good. This is a guesthouse that’s quite hard to reach, though, and the owner seemed annoyed most of the time. Breakfast costs an extra 5 Euro.

Stayed three nights in February. The garden was peaceful and a nice place to relax, and the hosts were really lovely. The room and bathroom were clean too. See you next time!
