Hotel Cuatro Vientos

For €45, I thought the double room was overpriced. It was noisy from early in the morning, so getting any sleep was impossible. The room also felt damp, some handles were broken, and the crack in the ceiling looked like a repair had been attempted without fixing it. Cleaning under the bed and around the blinds had been minimal. We were also told different prices for a single room: €30 on the phone, then €25 when we went to pay. So which is it?

I left without staying for breakfast, and the noise had us awake before 8 am anyway. The €45 room wasn't worth it. The furniture was broken, the blinds were really dirty, and the area under the bed needed sweeping. There was damp behind the door with what looked like a half-hearted repair, while cracks in the ceiling hadn't been repaired at all.

The coffee was nothing special, but the staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was clean, though it could use a renovation and more light. As a hotel it's very basic, and the restaurant only just meets the minimum.

There was no water when I got back at 9:00 pm after walking around town, so I had to somehow manage a shower. At check-in, which was at 12:00, the restaurant was already dirty by 1:40 pm, and the cook was smoking in the kitchen. My room smelled bad, as if it hadn't been cleaned with clean water. I had an awful stay and don't recommend it.
