La Casa del Médico

We used this as a base for the Río Lobos Canyon, the greenway and nature trail, and the surrounding area, exploring by bike and on foot. The owners were so kind and flexible, and gave us great advice. The house was spotless, the bedrooms were fully equipped, and the terrace was lovely for eating outside. Highly recommend it.

The plan was to look for mushrooms in the mornings, but there weren’t many, so we spent the time exploring the lovely area instead. We also visited nearby villages, went hiking and biking, and rested. A midday snack of exquisite torreznos from Meson San Blas in San Leonardo de Yagüe was a highlight. We stayed October 11th to 18th and felt comfortable in the well-equipped house from the moment we arrived. The hosts welcomed us with homemade cake and jam. Thank you for everything, Beatriz.

We spent five days here over New Year’s with three families, and the friendly people in the village and beautiful scenery made the stay even nicer. The house is spacious, welcoming, and pleasant, with five well-equipped bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It was very clean and had all kinds of kitchenware. Bea and Trini run it so well that we felt right at home. We’d love to return many times.

The surroundings are spectacular, and the house worked really well for our group. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the heating could be controlled separately in each room. When we arrived, they answered our questions about routes and how the house worked, and made sure we had everything we needed. They also gave us a warm welcome with delicious homemade cake and jam. It was a very comfortable place for a wonderful weekend. We’d be glad to come back. Highly recommended.
